Licensed Professional Counselor
Addiction, Trauma, Gender Identity
Scottsdale, Arizona
Houston Hough is a Licensed Professional Counselor with training in Post Induction Therapy (PIT), PARTS work, and psychodrama. Before joining Redefine Wellness & Treatment, he served as an Assistant Clinical Director at a Scottsdale-area treatment center and trained at The Meadows, one of the most recognized names in trauma and addiction treatment nationally.
Houston holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Trauma Certificate from Wheaton College in Illinois. His clinical work focuses on helping adults navigate trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, and religious or spiritual harm.
He is also a certified Rainbow Advocate and Educator, bringing affirming, knowledgeable support to LGBTQIA+ clients. Before entering the mental health field, Houston built a career across global immigration, finance, and tech, working in cities including New York, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
That range of professional experience gives him a practical understanding of the pressures high-functioning adults face, from career-driven stress to identity and relational concerns. He brings that same directness and curiosity to his clinical work, creating space where clients can explore their stories, reduce shame, and build new patterns.
Outside of work, Houston enjoys traveling, coffee shop hopping, and spending time with friends and family.
